Adam Borden

ADAM BORDEN
President

Adam is Co-Founder and President of OptiX where he oversees all commercial, financial and operational activities. Adam’s depth of knowledge comes from 25 years in the transportation industry.

Prior to starting OptiX, Adam was a Strategic North American National Accounts Manager for Mack Trucks, where he led commercial activities managing Mack’s largest and most strategic accounts including Ryder, Kenan Advantage and Waste Management for North America.  Prior to Mack Trucks, Adam started and built up his own trucking company servicing van, flatbed and tanker markets in the Gulf Coast region.  Adam was Executive Vice President for GCB Logistics, a van and tanker carrier out of Tennessee with operations across the Midwest, Southeast and Gulf coast markets.  He worked for Gulf Winds, a drayage provider out of Houston, TX and led their Chemical Product business vertical.  Prior to that, Adam was President of Tiga Logistics, an oilfield carrier out of the Woodlands, TX and has held several senior leadership positions with Trimac Transportation where he started and led Trimac’s greenfield oilfield operation that became their most profitable division within 18 months, Trimac’s most profitable division in the company’s history.  Adam graduated from Central Baptist University, Conway, AR and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in organizational leadership.

Buddy Sexton

BUDDY SEXTON
Chief Commercial & Operations Officer

Buddy is Co-Founder and Chief Commercial & Operations Officer where he is responsible for all tactical, commercial, and operational activities. Buddy’s depth of experience in differing geographical and end-use markets and vast customer relationships make him a respected voice in the intermodal drayage.

Prior to starting OptiX, Buddy was Vice President of Business Development at Gulf Winds International, the largest drayage operator in Texas and one of the largest in the Gulf Region. While at Gulf Winds, Buddy started and developed the expansion into the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX international rail markets, and helped lead their expansion into the Mobile, AL and Memphis, TN markets respectively. Previously, Buddy held various Senior Executive and leadership positions at Superior Nationwide Logistics, Petroleum Service Corporation, and KRATON Polymers serving national and international markets within the trucking, warehousing, transloading, packaging and brokerage verticals across multiple industries. Buddy graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics and Transportation.

Aaron Cummings

AARON CUMMINGS
Senior Vice President of Operations

Aaron is Senior Vice President of Operations where he is responsible for all operational activities. Aaron brings nearly 20 years of leadership experience in logistics and transportation to the OptiX team.

Prior to joining OptiX, Aaron was a member of the Senior Leadership Team and the Director of Business Development at PSC Group. PSC is the largest provider of outsourced truck, rail, and warehouse product handling and logistics services for the Petrochemical and Refining industries. During his time in Business Development, Aaron oversaw a period of significant growth as the organization added jobs at more than 30 facilities in 10 different states. Aaron was also on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Association of Rail Shippers (SWARS). Prior to his role in his Business Development, Aaron was a Safety and Training Supervisor, Operations Manager, and Senior Operations Manager, supporting a dozen facilities that are home to more than 250 PSC employees in the greater Houston Area. As part of the Operations Management team, Aaron also helped lead six successful start-up operations. Previously, Aaron was the Customer Service Manager – Transportation at Gulf Winds International, the largest drayage operator in Texas and one of the largest in the Gulf Region. Aaron graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Management.

Yesenia Macias

YESENIA MACIAS
Director of Drayage Development

Yesenia is OptiX Director of Drayage Development where she leads all tactical operational activities in dispatch, customer service, and driver services. Yesenia’s experience in leading teams in operations, customer service, systems implementation/optimization, and her extensive knowledge of the Houston market provides another Leadership link in our organization. 

Prior to joining OptiX, Yesenia held various operational and leadership positions at one of the leading drayage operators in the Gulf Coast, Gulf Winds International. Yesenia worked her way throughout the organization, from dispatch clerk, to various operational and leadership roles within Customer Service, culminating in leading one of Houston’s largest drayage operations as Houston Terminal Manger. She developed and optimized the use of technology tools for scheduling, dispatch, and customer service, highly contributing to the growth and leadership of her teams, customers, and drivers alike. Her experience in leading customer service and dispatch, her overall knowledge of the Houston market and her “can do” attitude are attributes that align with our culture and will move OptiX forward.

PARKER GRAHAM
Director of Commercial Operations

Parker is the Director of Commercial Operations where he is responsible for leading all strategic relations, business development, and commercial activities across all markets. Alongside the rest of the team, Parker’s vast experience throughout the Savannah and southeast markets and customer relationships makes him a valued and critical member of the team.

Prior to joining the OptiX team, Parker was part of the operations management team at the Georgia Port Authority, the third largest port operation in the United States. Here is where Parker developed relationships and overall acumen in drayage and port operations, which helped lead the continued growth and expansion for GPA as Savannah becomes one of the most critical ports for shippers in the country. Previously, Parker served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Officer where he held various senior leadership positions upon Parris Island at Weapons and Field Training Battalion and in 2d Marine Division upon Camp Lejeune at 2d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion. Prior to his Marine Corps service, Parker held positions in the 3PL industry as a Freight Broker and as a Assistant Director for the Flatbed Division at Fusion Logistics in Dallas, Texas, serving national and international markets within trucking, flatbeds, LTL, and brokering all verticals across multiple industries. Parker graduated from Georgia Southern University as well as Georgia College and State University and holds a Bachelors in Business Administration and Marketing as well as a Masters in Business Administration.
